Amy Smart, an American model, actress and actor. The modeling career she began with was in Italy which is where she was raised and was born in California. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film which was her first film part. Following a long and difficult battle her way to a role, she got a chance as 'Starship Troopers' in the film Starship Troopers. It was very difficult for her to transition between modeling and acting because the models werent usually thought of as actors and were mostly assigned smaller roles that were insignificant. Amy was determined to succeed and she eventually landed larger roles starting with The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. Then she stepped into lead roles in the 2005 romantic comedy film Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy gained recognition after more than 10 years of struggling. Amy was in several big movies within the Crank trilogy alongside Jason Statham. And she had a part in a series of recurring roles in The Shameless series.
