Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the daughter of Peter Silk, an academic, and Ilkay Silk, an multi-talented actor director, producer, playwright, teacher, as well as Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father hails from Britain as does her mother, who is the "Turkish English-Cypriot expat." Anna's first memories involve attending rehearsals for plays and observing her mother at working. When she was a kid, she made the rounds in various commercials. Anna moved to Toronto in November of 1999, to pursue her acting talents. Then, she settled at Los Angeles (California) over the next decade. Seth Cooperman was introduced to Anna in Los Angeles at an acting workshop in 2007. The couple got engaged in 2009. Anna became a Jew in 2011, after she converted to Judaism. They got married civilly in December of the same year, and they then renewed their vows at a Jewish wedding ceremony that took place in Fredericton, in April 2011. Bo's romance with Lauren, played by Zoie Parker, was showcased in CNN's list of Favorite TV Couples that have ever existed and named as E!'s Top Television Couple for 2013. Entertainment Television. The success of the show has led to Anna building a large audience on social networks.
