Paula Patton is an actress and producer best known for her roles as a lead actress in the action spy movie Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol as well as the dramatic film Precious. Her birthplace was in an upper middle-class family in Los Angeles and had big dreams for her future. The mother of her children was a film enthusiast and encouraged her to love films as a child. Paula was involved with her school's cocurricular activities and particularly awed by the dramatic arts. Paula loved acting with friends, and she participated in the school's stage productions. After performing in a variety of shows at her high school, Hamilton Magnet Arts High School, she decided to make acting her occupation. She enrolled at The University of Southern California in the summer program, and enjoyed her stint. She received a 3-month contract to create documentaries for PBS. After completing the project, she started becoming an assistant in the production of TV documentaries. Later, she was able to produce documentaries. Though she loved her job, she still dreamed of being an actor. She started her career in acting with a role as Will Smith's co-star for the love story Hitch. In the years since, she has been in numerous popular films and television shows.
